VOLUNTEER
Volunteering for your community is easier than you think. There are many different opportunities for you in the fire service. And the best part is you get to choose just how much you want to be involved. Below are just a few of the opportunities that are available. Best of all the Training is all free. There is also college tuition and tax credits for volunteering. If you would like to know more just show up on one of our meeting nights (1st Tuesday of the month at 7pm) and we'll be glad to answer all your questions.
Firefighter
As a Firefighter you'll be tasked with many different jobs that are very rewarding. You can choose if you want to be Interior or Exterior firefighter. You can expand on your training and become a Truck Operator, Pump Operator, Auto Extrication, Hazmat, the list goes on.
EMS
In the EMS field you will provide medical care to those in need of it. You can choose to become a First Responder, EMT, even a Paramedic. Past members have even volunteered at the Penn Yan Ambulance Corp. Some have even went on to make careers with their training.
Fire Police
Fire Police protect our scenes by doing traffic control and can even preserve evidence.
